For the first meeting of the new school year, the WiSTEM officers introduced themselves and the club, giving information on our vision, club activities, Club Week, WISER, STEM Buddies, Symposium, and more. For more information, or if you want to see the slideshow, email harker.wistem@gmail.com.
Then the members started the Engineering Challenge, where they were given paper, tape, scissors, and a wild card item (bobby pins, clothespins, or paperclips, etc) to build either the highest tower, or the one that could hold the most weight. Congratulations to Saloni's group for Best Overall, Catherine's group for Tallest, and Kimi's group for Most Durable!
