Eileen Ma
Co-President
Eileen is a senior and serving as one of WiSTEM’s co-presidents this year! Her favorite classes have been AP Chemistry with Dr. Raghavan and AP Calculus with Mr. Silk. She’s deeply passionate about WiSTEM’s mission to empower women and girls around the world in the field of STEM. You can find her dancing, watching rom coms, and laughing with her friends!
Ella Yee
Co-President
Ella Yee is a junior and serving as a co-President this year. Her first interaction with Harker’s WiSTEM club was actually when she joined the school in third grade and attended the Research Symposium. She has been to every Symposium since then and appreciates that she now gets a chance to support the club’s mission of fostering inclusive environments for exploration in STEM. Outside of leading the WiSTEM club, Ella loves dancing, pursuing scientific research, writing for Harker Aquila and Winged Post, and binging K-Dramas.
Arissa Huda
Vice President of Internal Affairs
Arissa is a senior who is WiSTEM’s Vice President of Internal Affairs and runs the Wister program. She loves the mentorship and sisterhood that the program provides as community is an important tenant for her. Beyond WiSTEM, Arissa is an active member of her debate team and has pursued the intersection of her interests in public health like with her TedxHarker talk and research.
Riya Gupta
VP of External Affairs
Riya is a senior and is currently serving as WiSTEM’s Vice President of External Affairs. Her favorite subject is math, but she likes physics and computer science as well. She joined WiSTEM as she resonated with its mission to inspire girls to pursue STEM. Riya also has her own non-profit STEMPower4Girls that is dedicated to empowering girls interested in STEM by holding free workshops and tournaments for girls around the world. Outside of WiSTEM, Riya is also involved in Math Club and plays the saxophone at Harker.
Amiya Chokhawala
Director of PR
Amiya is a senior and is serving as the Director of PR for WiSTEM. She believes that targeting girls at a young age is essential to closing the gender gap. Her STEM interested include Computer Science, specifically App Design and AI, as well as Zoology and Ecology. Besides WiSTEM, she plays the oboe, works on her nonprofit, STEMHer, and paints.

Margaret Cartee
Co- STEM Buddies Director
Margaret is a junior and serves as WiSTEM's Co-STEM Buddies Coordinator. She hopes to increase diversity in the STEM field by encouraging younger students to get involved with STEM. Outside of WiSTEM, Margaret enjoys writing articles for Harker Journalism, playing voleyball, and drawing.
Sahngwie Yim
Outreach Coordinator
Thresia Vazhaeparambil is a junior and is the STEM Buddies Coordinator. WiSTEM's mission to her means community and being able to create a safe space where all people regardless of their race, gender, sexuality, etc. are welcome, supported, and united under their interest for STEM. It means having the opportunity to share our passion for STEM with others and being able to inspire them so they can discover their own love for the field. Her academic interests are mainly in science and research and she also enjoys playing lacrosse and the viola. Outside of school, she loves spending time with her family, volunteering, and sewing!
Tiffany Gu
Outreach Coordinator
Tiffany is currently a sophomore at the Harker School and serves as one of WiSTEM's outreach coordinators. She is passionate in spreading WiSTEM's mission because she truly believes that it is important to inspire and empower women in STEM and make STEM more accessible. Beyond WiSTEM, Tiffany is the outreach director of Harker Robotics, the co-president of MusiCodes and a flautist in Harker's orchestra.
Julie Shi
Treasurer
Julie is a junior at Harker and is serving as WiSTEM’s Treasurer. She has been involved with WiSTEM since freshman year and her goal during her time with WiSTEM is to help empower women and girls in STEM fields. She loves talking to the young kids WiSTEM works with at events and workshops to encourage their interests in STEM. Outside of WiSTEM, she dances competitively and loves to draw.
Ananya Das
Outreach Coordinator
Amiya is a sophomore who is one of the outreach coordinators for WiSTEM. With this position, she hopes to create an interest in STEM in girls from an early age and help them pursue stem fields. She is also an officer for UNICEF, involved in a few other Harker clubs, and part of orchestra and the conservatory. In her free time, she likes to paint, swim, and watch tv shows.
Ms. Chetty
Advisor
Ms. Chetty is the Science Department Chair at the Harker Upper School. She started the WiSTEM club 15 years ago on campus and has been the advisor since.
