CO-PRESIDENTS
LINDA ZENG
Linda is a senior and is serving as one of WiSTEM’s presidents this year. Her favorite part of WiSTEM is building a community of people that she can always rely on, trust, and be inspired by. She is interested in Artificial Intelligence, and enjoys dancing, gymnastics, painting, and traveling in her free time. A fun fact about Linda is that she loves big crunchy green grapes!
ANIKA BASU
Anika is a junior and is serving as one of WiSTEM’s presidents this year. She enjoys the community formed in the weeks leading up to the Symposium! Her favorite STEM subject is computer science, and outside of WiSTEM she enjoys Playing piano, gardening, watching movies, traveling. A fun fact about her is that she played basketball with Steph Curry!

ASHLEY MO
Ashley is a senior and serves as one of WiSTEM’s Vice Presidents of Internal Affairs. She loves connecting our community through the annual Research Symposium. She enjoys Biochemistry, and her hobbies include playing golf and going to concerts. A fun fact about Ashley is that she is scared of ski lifts!
ANNABEL HUANG
Annabel is a junior and serves as one of WiSTEM’s Vice Presidents of Internal Affairs. Her favorite part of the WiSTEM program is Stem Buddies and the Symposiums, and her favorite STEM subject is Biology/CS. She enjoys baking with her friends. A fun fact about Annabel is that Twizzlers are her favorite candy!
LAYA SUNKARA
Laya is a junior and is one of WiSTEM’s Vice Presidents of External Relations. Her favorite part of WiSTEM is the supportive community and getting to see all of our hard work pay off at Symposium! She enjoys Biology (specifically genetics), as well as baking, music, writing poetry, and watching TV. A fun fact about Laya is that she met the Dalai Lama once at eight years old!
TRISHA SHIVAKUMAR
Trisha is a junior and serves as one of WiSTEM’s Vice Presidents of External Relations. She loves planning Symposium with her favorite people. Her favorite STEM subject is biology + engineering and her hobbies include sewing, writing, escape rooms, and making gifts for her friends!. A fun fact about Trisha is that she swam in the Antarctic Ocean!

SRISHTI DHAWAN
Srishti is a junior and is a STEM Buddies Coordinator. She enjoys bringing STEM opportunities to others and sparking curiosity in younger children through initiatives like STEM Buddies. Her favorite STEM subject is biology, and her hobbies are playing soccer, reading, conducting lab research, and spending time with her friends. A fun fact about her is that her favorite ice cream flavor is mint chip!
SARIA LUM
Saria is a sophomore and is a STEM Buddies Coordinator. She is passionate about WiSTEM’s annual Symposium! She loves being able to meet so many new people + share and learn about recent discoveries and research. Her favorite STEM subject is biology, and she enjoys ballet and science research. She loves collecting Haribo gummies anywhere she goes!
RISA CHOKHAWALA
Risa is a junior and is serving as one of WiSTEM’s Outreach Coordinators. Her favorite part about WiSTEM is the collaboration and support that comes with preparing for the Research Symposium! She loves seeing how each member's strengths contribute to the larger picture! She enjoys computer science, as well as baking, cooking, crafting, and going to cafes. A fun fact about her is that she has 2 nieces!
JESSIE CAO
Jessie is a sophomore and is one of WiSTEM’s Outreach Coordinators. Her favorite part of the program is hanging out with my friends and helping out at Symposium! She enjoys math, gymnastics, robotics, debate, and art. A fun fact about Jessie is that her birthday is on Halloween!
LIANA BAROOAH
Liana is a sophomore and is WiSTEM’s Director of Communications. Her favorite part of WiSTEM is the chaos of the prep week before Symposium. Her favorite STEM subject is math and biology and she enjoys photography, baking, and eating. A fun fact about Liana is that she has one contact in her left eye!
CHARLENE LI
Charlene is a sophomore and is serving as WiSTEM’s Director of Advocacy, specializing in media projects. Her favorite aspect of the program is every event and spending time with fellow club members and friends, and outside of WiSTEM she enjoys creative writing, building DIY miniature house kits, playing board games with siblings. Her favorite STEM subject is math, and a fun fact about Charlene is that she has 3 younger siblings!
CELINA XU
Celina is a senior and serves as WiSTEM’s Director of Advocacy, specializing in community outreach. She loves organizing the research symposium and running activities for the kids. Her favorite STEM subject is quantum physics, and she enjoys cooking/baking, listening to music, drawing. A fun fact about Celina is that she is not a dancer, but she can do the splits on both sides!
SERENA CHI
Celina is a sophomore and serves as WiSTEM’s Director of Advocacy, specializing in community outreach. She loves the chaos of Symposium. Her favorite STEM subject is biology, and she enjoys taking laps and playing with her cat. A fun fact about Serena is that her cats name is just cat!
