On February 27th, WiSTEM members visited the Harker Lower School to bring fun STEM activities to two 3rd grade classes. The students explored chemistry, biology, and more at each station: exploring evolution by picking up beads with different implements; understanding the food chain by simulating shark-tuna interactions with dice; classifying fossils; visualizing human joints with Wii nunchucks and door hinges; and the crowd favorite, elephant toothpaste.
