Wister pairings were announced, and the officers reviewed STEM Buddies, Cancer Walk, and sweatshirt design information/logistics. Members were also encouraged to submit blog posts to the website. The meeting concluded with an insightful discussion about gender roles in society, emphasizing the problem with sexual harassment, Emily Chang’s “Brotopia,” misconceptions and preconceptions about women’s abilities, and how women are treated in the STEM world.
